Primary pulmonary sarcoma is a very rare lung entity with few cases reported. The most common types are angiosarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, and rhabdomyosarcoma. Accounting for approximately 0.5% of all malignant lung cancers, cases are scarce and few series report the treatment of these tumors. In the case reported here, the tumor was not adherent to the adjacent planes.
CASE REPORT: We present the case of a woman with a mass in the left hemithorax, whose pathology evaluation disclosed a diagnosis of pulmonary sarcoma.
CONCLUSIONS: The importance of this case lies in the low incidence of primary pulmonary sarcoma in the medical literature.
